Henric Ahlkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Bark in the 3rd minute of play. Vallda RK's Vilhelm Hansson got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ian Bark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18thth minute of the game Ian Bark who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lervik IF's Henric Ahlkvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vallda RK's Vilhelm Hansson got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stig-Ove Albäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vilhelm Hansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Henric Ahlkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lervik IF's William Mogren got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute, Vilhelm Hansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henric Ahlkvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ian Bark's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lervik IF's zone, Vilhelm Hansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henric Ahlkvist came out of the goal and Vilhelm Hansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Vallda RK booed when Lervik IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Ove Albäck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henric Ahlkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Bark, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The Lervik IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vallda RK were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stig-Ove Albäck to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Karl Sefastsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vilhelm Hansson took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henric Ahlkvist. Henric Ahlkvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Lervik IF's zone, Vilhelm Hansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henric Ahlkvist came out of the goal and Vilhelm Hansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 72 minutes, Pelle Törnqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lervik IF and the Vallda RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Henric Ahlkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Bark in the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josef Häll in the 75th minute of play forced Vallda RK's goalkeeper Valdemar Engström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Ian Bark fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Vallda RK's Vilhelm Hansson got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henric Ahlkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Bark, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Vilhelm Hansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henric Ahlkvist having to interfere. Henric Ahlkvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vilhelm Hansson in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lervik IF's zone, Vilhelm Hansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henric Ahlkvist came out of the goal and Vilhelm Hansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Vallda RK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lervik IF throughout the match.
