In the 3rd minute Egil Hellbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicklas Persson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of AC Jeriko booed when Grangärde BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. The crowd rose to their feet as Walter Eklund kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rickard Kling. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. Håkan Siöberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Nicklas Persson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Håkan Siöberg was the one to do the kick off. Rickard Kling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sverker Österberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Grangärde BK's Rickard Kling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sverker Österberg in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Grangärde BK's Håkan Siöberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicklas Persson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sverker Österberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rickard Kling having to interfere. Rickard Kling didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Walter Eklund went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AC Jeriko fans cheered their team off the field, for while Grangärde BK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
