Varnhem IK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Varnhem IK's Daho Arrache slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elias Pettersson. That made the score 1-1 after 17 minutes of play. 23 minutes into the match, Lokomotiv's goal looked a bit too open when Daho Arrache came free, but Elias Pettersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Varnhem IK's Daho Arrache got his second yellow card of the match in the 25th minute. The referee ordered Daho Arrache off the ground. In the 27thth minute of the game Sorin Bogdan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varnhem IK's Aron Arhenius was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th match minute, Varnhem IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inge Lager to maneuver through the defense. Arsenio Erico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Arhenius having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sorin Bogdan to strike the kick off in the second half. Anders Bjurström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Elias Pettersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute of the match Varnhem IK got a corner. Lokomotiv's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anders Bjurström ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Sven Månsson got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-1. 72 minutes into the match. In the 82nd match minute, Lokomotiv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Granström to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute, Varnhem IK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fabian Kalfhage fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 95 minutes, Joar Ekerot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lokomotiv and the Varnhem IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lokomotiv succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Varnhem IK had controlled the match.
