In the 2nd minute Anders Bjurström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rasmus Ahlquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anders Bjurström shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. If Daho Arrache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tom Olofsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Daho Arrache managed to get in a good position for a shot. Varnhem IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Daho Arrache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rasmus Ahlquist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 36 minutes into the match, Tom Olofsson notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Koalornas IF's Rasmus Ahlquist. Rasmus Ahlquist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daho Arrache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rasmus Ahlquist having to interfere. Inge Lager hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The supporters of Koalornas IF booed when Varnhem IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per Koch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daho Arrache struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Rasmus Ahlquist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varnhem IK. Daho Arrache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Inge Lager charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inge Lager the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Inge Lager hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. A collision led to Koalornas IF getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Frans Björklund hit a great ball. If Sven Månsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rasmus Ahlquist came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Varnhem IK's Daho Arrache. But to his dismay, Daho Arrache quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Rasmus Ahlquist was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Sven Månsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sven Månsson really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. 78 minutes into the game, Hjalmar Ekblom was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Koalornas IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varnhem IK the free kick. After 78 played minutes Koalornas IF got a freekick which was hit by Hjalmar Ekblom. After having played for 83 minutes, Daho Arrache managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varnhem IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daho Arrache was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rasmus Ahlquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daho Arrache in the 85th minute of play. Hjalmar Ekblom tried in the 90th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Rasmus Ahlquist a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 0-4. When the final whistle sounded Varnhem IK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Koalornas IF.
