The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th match minute, Yacht Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Åkesson to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Ifk Kålltorp booed when Yacht Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willem-Jan Woldersgaard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jon Odin's late challenge caught a Yacht Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jon Odin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ifk Kålltorp's Jon Odin got a free kick in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paquito Navarro in the 17th minute of play forced Ifk Kålltorp's goalkeeper Asopos Frangopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Börje Brun hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Mostafa Muhammed managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yacht Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Mostafa Muhammed was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Asopos Frangopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Uno Kuse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Gunnarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paquito Navarro in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Asopos Frangopoulos saved Ifk Kålltorp from getting behind. Eric Lång hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon Odin in the 38th minute of play forced Yacht Club's goalkeeper Uno Kuse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Torbjörn Isaksson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Uno Kuse was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paquito Navarro was the one to do the kick off. Butet Rahwana's late challenge caught a Ifk Kålltorp's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Butet Rahwana helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Yacht Club's Butet Rahwana got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Jerry Gunnarsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Uno Kuse came out and tried to block the shot, but Jerry Gunnarsson slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 57th minute. After a rather tough play, Yacht Club's Eric Lång got a free kick in the 60th minute. Paquito Navarro might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Asopos Frangopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paquito Navarro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 68th minute, Ifk Kålltorp's Jerry Gunnarsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Asopos Frangopoulos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paquito Navarro went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Asopos Frangopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kim Tesner in the 79th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Yacht Club's Paquito Navarro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Asopos Frangopoulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 81 played minutes Ifk Kålltorp got a freekick which was hit by Börje Brun. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Mostafa Muhammed managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yacht Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Mostafa Muhammed was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Asopos Frangopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carl Örtendal was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 86 minutes into the match. Hyllos Pezos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Ifk Kålltorp left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Yacht Club.
