The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Örbyhus's goal looked a bit too open when Pontus Skark came free, but Uno Fanström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute Carl Olenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calle Sandström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8 minutes, Ingvar Lingren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Harge FC and the Örbyhus players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th minute, Ingvar Lingren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Calle Sandström was a little too slow when Carl Olenberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. 15 minutes into the game, Carl Olenberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Örbyhus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Harge FC the free kick. Sabahattin Yurdaer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uno Fanström having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Pontus Skark made a precise shot to the right of Uno Fanström. Örbyhus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The supporters of Örbyhus booed when Harge FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Lingren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Calle Sandström made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Per-Olof Karlsson sent off a good shot on target. Carl Olenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calle Sandström having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kim Hägglund kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pontus Skark made a kick off. If Pontus Skark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Per-Olof Karlsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Örbyhus's supporters rose to their feet, but Per-Olof Karlsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calle Sandström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sten Törnkvist hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Calle Sandström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Olof Karlsson in the 74th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Harge FC's zone, Carl Olenberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calle Sandström came out of the goal and Carl Olenberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th match minute, Örbyhus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sten Törnkvist to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
