After 18 minutes of play, Rotvalla IF's Karl-Magnus Fagerberg made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Torgny Morat was left in no man's land by his defense there! Grödinge's Torgny Morat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Andberg in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match, Patrik Flinck got a very nice opportunity to score, but Victor Rosendal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 26 minutes into the game, Rotvalla IF's Karl-Magnus Fagerberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Torgny Morat made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Peter Andersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After the first half Rotvalla IF were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the match, Grödinge's goalkeeper Torgny Morat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Andersson. Malte Dahlgren charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Malte Dahlgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd match minute, Grödinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malte Dahlgren to maneuver through the defense. Victor Rosendal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tord Botvidsson in the 64th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Peter Andersson could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Torgny Morat however easily saved by the left post. Grödinge's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Peter Andersson scored to the left of an out of position Torgny Morat, making the score, 1-4. Allan Andberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Peter Andersson sped through Grödinge's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Torgny Morat. 88 minutes into the game, Kjell Bjursell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rotvalla IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grödinge the free kick. In the 88th minute, Kjell Bjursell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th match minute, Grödinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tord Botvidsson to maneuver through the defense. Rotvalla IF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
