The Habo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Edgar Jansson charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgar Jansson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Njutångers BK's Birger Klemensson was substituted for Per Pihlgren. After 29 played minutes Habo got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Jansson. After a defensive mix-up in Habo's zone, Jimmie Odin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernt Pettersson came out of the goal and Jimmie Odin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the match, Njutångers BK's goal looked a bit too open when Björn Nordkvist came free, but Fred Björkdahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Habo's Bernt Pettersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmie Odin in the 68th minute of play.
