In the 14th minute Leif Ekström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bo Hellqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Linneryd's Bo Hellqvist got control of the ball when Karl-Michael Lundström tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 17th minute, Leif Ekström made a precise shot to the right of Bo Hellqvist. Linneryd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Linneryd's zone, Karl-Michael Lundström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bo Hellqvist came out of the goal and Karl-Michael Lundström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the game, Prässebo's Leif Ekström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bo Hellqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Bo Hellqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Michael Lundström in the 95th minute of play. If David Lööf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Linneryd's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
