Spectators: 7196 (Terracing: 5696, Seating: 1350, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ulf Gustafsson kicked off to start the match. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dingle IFK's goalkeeper Ebelechukwu De Roeulx, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dingle IFK's Ebelechukwu De Roeulx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Bokelund in the 13th minute of play. Ebelechukwu De Roeulx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svante Bollström in the 16th minute of play. Erling Billström hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Dingle IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Walmarsson came free, but Ebelechukwu De Roeulx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boris Melberg was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 26 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, one of Dingle IFK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dingle IFK. In the 33rd minute, IFK Göteborg's Eric Källberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Eric Källberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of IFK Göteborg protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Eric Källberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of IFK Göteborg:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dingle IFK:s goal. Erling Billström placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for IFK Göteborg! Erling Billström shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Svante Bollström struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Ebelechukwu De Roeulx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IFK Göteborg.

Anders Hedström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Östen Björkqvist having to interfere. IFK Göteborg's Östen Björkqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johan Haglund in the 54th minute of play. Östen Björkqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johan Haglund in the 55th minute of play. Östen Björkqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anders Hedström in the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Dingle IFK were awarded a corner. Erling Billström went to the cornerflag to take it. Ebelechukwu De Roeulx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Svante Bollström, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 66 minutes into the match, IFK Göteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Anders Hedström came free, but Östen Björkqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edwin Bokelund received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ebelechukwu De Roeulx came out and tried to block the shot, but Edwin Bokelund slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 69th minute. Dingle IFK's Ebelechukwu De Roeulx proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Dingle IFK from getting a goal against them. In the 74th minute, Anders Hedström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Dingle IFK's Hubert Malmgren got a free kick in the 85th minute. Walter Östensson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ebelechukwu De Roeulx read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Östen Björkqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anders Hedström in the 92nd minute of the match. After 95 minutes, Edwin Bokelund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IFK Göteborg and the Dingle IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Dingle IFK booed when IFK Göteborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Bokelund didn't get a good kick on the ball.
