The Holm SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andreas Lundqvist should have stopped the shot. After having played for 15 minutes, Pål Jonsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åsunden FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pål Jonsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pål Jonsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Andreas Lundqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kevin Kilström kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Andreas Lundqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joacim Ekberg in the 28th minute of play. Elliot Skräddare came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Holm SK's Henric Benet. But to his dismay, Henric Benet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Kevin Kilström fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Holm SK's protests and gave Kevin Kilström a yellow card for diving instead. Pål Jonsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Andreas Lundqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael Sundling's late challenge caught a Åsunden FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michael Sundling helped the player get up and apologised. Michael Sundling kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pål Jonsson to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henric Benet during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute, Christian Ekblom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Holm SK's Alf Åström in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Åsunden FF's goalie prevented a goal. When Pål Jonsson came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Åsunden FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pål Jonsson couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Holm SK booed when Åsunden FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Olof Bivall didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Holm SK's goalkeeper Andreas Lundqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pål Jonsson. With a little luck, Holm SK's Andreas Lundqvist got control of the ball when Pål Jonsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pål Jonsson got free with Andreas Lundqvist in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 78 minutes, Pål Jonsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
