In the 9th minute, FC Johanneslust's Karl-Magnus Söderberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lucas Vesterberg. Lucas Vesterberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 14th minute Karl-Magnus Söderberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Vesterberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Sven-Arne Larsfelt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute of the match Ralf Hedling shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucas Vesterberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sparreholm FF's goalkeeper Lucas Vesterberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Karl-Åke Valrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Stolpe, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vidar Hegg during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Johanneslust getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Vidar Hegg hit a great ball. Sparreholm FF's Lucas Vesterberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Sparreholm FF from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, Rune Nordin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucas Vesterberg. Sparreholm FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rune Nordin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The supporters of Sparreholm FF booed when FC Johanneslust was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vidar Hegg didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Frisk in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Johanneslust's goalkeeper Karl-Åke Valrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl-Magnus Söderberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tage Eckegren charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tage Eckegren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Johanneslust getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Göran Stolpe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Karl-Åke Valrot made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Herman Forsman sent off a good shot on target. Tage Eckegren hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Göran Stolpe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sparreholm FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Göran Stolpe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Johanneslust's Rune Nordin got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sparreholm FF played a much better game than FC Johanneslust and deserved their victory. The FC Johanneslust players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
