But to his dismay, Helge Strömbom quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 23 minutes into the match, Osvald Björnsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucas Vesterberg. Sparreholm FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvald Björnsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Karl-Axel Fransson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Jan Odin made a huge save. The Sparreholm FF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ryd were winning 1-3.

Jan Odin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Charlie Frisk went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. 60 minutes into the match, Herman Forsman notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Ryd's Jan Odin. Jan Odin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herman Forsman in the 65th minute of play forced Ryd's goalkeeper Jan Odin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Odin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herman Forsman, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. When Herman Forsman came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Sparreholm FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herman Forsman couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Ryd's zone, Charlie Frisk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Odin came out of the goal and Charlie Frisk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rikard Nordin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Charlie Frisk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Odin was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. In the 86th minute, Charlie Frisk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sparreholm FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-3. In the 91st minute, Dick Kilberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sparreholm FF's Charlie Frisk got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sparreholm FF fully deserved thier win.
