Hova IF's Henrik Målare got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henrik Målare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olof Ekeberg having to interfere. Flyinge's Olof Ekeberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Flyinge from getting a goal against them. Malcolm Mårtensson struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Olof Ekeberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hova IF. In the 31st minute, Malcolm Mårtensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Malcolm Mårtensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henrik Målare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Olof Ekeberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Börje Njurenius kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henrik Målare in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olof Ekeberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tony Walroth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy Olofsson having to interfere. A collision led to Hova IF getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Allan Algren hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Malcolm Mårtensson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hova IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Malcolm Mårtensson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olof Ekeberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ian Söderkvist's late challenge caught a Hova IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ian Söderkvist helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute, Ian Söderkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Ian Söderkvist in the 73rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Hova IF's Henrik Målare. After 85 played minutes Flyinge got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Billberg. Flyinge's Olof Ekeberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrik Målare in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Målare in the 96th minute of play forced Flyinge's goalkeeper Olof Ekeberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
