Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kingriver FC's Karl-Axel Olenberg started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th match minute, Kingriver FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Axel Olenberg to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Malcolm Mårtensson got free with Sven Hedström in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11 minutes into the game, Karl-Axel Olenberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Roy Olofsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kingriver FC's Sven Hedström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrik Målare in the 15th minute of play. Roy Olofsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Axel Olenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Malcolm Mårtensson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Sven Hedström made a huge save. Malcolm Mårtensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sven Hedström was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Malcolm Mårtensson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 42 minute of play. In the 45th minute, Allan Algren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Kingriver FC's goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Målare came free, but Sven Hedström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henrik Målare to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Kingriver FC's zone, Henrik Målare stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Hedström came out of the goal and Henrik Målare tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sven Hedström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrik Målare in the 92nd minute of play. If Malcolm Mårtensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 95th minute, Kingriver FC's Ola Runberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ola Runberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Kingriver FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ola Runberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kingriver FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hova IF had played much better football throughout.
