Viggo Alefors showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thor Säfström, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Claes Helberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Viggo Alefors was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 27 minutes into the match, Sleepy Neanderthals's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Jonsson came free, but Viggo Alefors reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claes Helberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viggo Alefors read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. After 32 played minutes Ludvika IF got a freekick which was hit by Thor Säfström. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Allan Fastesson made a kick off. Nils Jonsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viggo Alefors made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claes Helberg in the 56th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Claes Helberg made a precise shot to the right of Viggo Alefors. When Stefan Lindqvist came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Sleepy Neanderthals fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Lindqvist couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute Nils Jonsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viggo Alefors saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Sleepy Neanderthals's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Jonsson came free, but Viggo Alefors reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ludvika IF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
