Ludvika IF's Thomas Berg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ola Bergqvist in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Olof Stenberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomas Berg. Ludvika IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olof Stenberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Henry Blomqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Thomas Berg made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Östra Värlinge's Ola Bergqvist slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thomas Berg. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. Henry Blomqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Thomas Berg made a huge save. Henry Blomqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ola Bergqvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, FC Östra Värlinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olof Stenberg to maneuver through the defense. Nils Jonsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Magnus Fastesson having to make a save. Nils Jonsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Ola Bergqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Östra Värlinge's supporters rose to their feet, but Ola Bergqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Berg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 72 minutes, Nils Jonsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ludvika IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils Jonsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 73 minutes, Henry Blomqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Ludvika IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Berg should have stopped the shot. George Falkrans kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Östra Värlinge had played much better football throughout.
