Spectators: 7487 (Terracing: 5616, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) Sleepy Neanderthals's Allan Fastesson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Henry Blomqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viggo Alefors saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niclas Rönn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henry Blomqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Viggo Alefors tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leif Biörnberg kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Östra Värlinge booed when Sleepy Neanderthals was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Lindqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aron Glanselius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henry Blomqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Viggo Alefors tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Stefan Lindqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Allan Fastesson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Magnus Fastesson, 1-0. Magnus Fastesson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kåre Kullander went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Sleepy Neanderthals's zone, Henry Blomqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viggo Alefors came out of the goal and Henry Blomqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 44 played minutes FC Östra Värlinge got a freekick which was hit by Egil Svensson. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Henry Blomqvist made the kick off in the second half. Viggo Alefors showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Blomqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. A collision led to Sleepy Neanderthals getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Allan Fastesson hit a great ball. With 65 minutes on the clock, Viktor Sävström commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Sleepy Neanderthals:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Östra Värlinge:s goal. Henry Blomqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Viggo Alefors tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Magnus Fastesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kåre Kullander in the 75th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Östra Värlinge booed when Sleepy Neanderthals was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Max Nordin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viggo Alefors went to the wrong direction when Egil Svensson was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After some careless play in the Sleepy Neanderthals defense, Aron Glanselius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Viggo Alefors. The Sleepy Neanderthals fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Viggo Alefors should have stopped the shot. In the 99th minute, Aron Glanselius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Aron Glanselius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 101st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Östra Värlinge's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
