He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arsenal FC reached it. After 17 played minutes Arsenal FC got a freekick which was hit by Peter Jansson. Yngve Helander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Hurtig, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After a rather tough play, Samlaget's Birger Forsell got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evert Billock came free, but Alexander Sellberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Birger Forsell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Samlaget's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arsenal FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Samlaget's Birger Forsell got a free kick in the 27th minute. Ivan Paulin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arsenal FC's Ivan Paulin got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36thth minute of the game Ivan Paulin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Samlaget's Yngve Helander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gösta Kellbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Yngve Helander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samlaget's Yngve Helander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Paulin in the 42nd minute of play. Gösta Kellbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the game, Arsenal FC's Ivan Paulin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yngve Helander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gösta Kellbom was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute Gösta Kellbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yngve Helander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander Sellberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charlie Danielsson in the 60th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Bure came free, but Alexander Sellberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Egon Ahlström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. After 82 minutes, Arman Hök mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Samlaget and the Arsenal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ivan Paulin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Yngve Helander skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Arsenal FC's Gösta Kellbom slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Yngve Helander. That made the score 1-3 after 93 minutes of play. If Peter Jansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
