The St. Mellansjö FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peter Sikström should have stopped the shot. Sven-Arne Apelqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Erik Wahlnäs having to interfere. St. Mellansjö FC's Peter Sikström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ove Samuelsson in the 14th minute of play. Per-Erik Wahlnäs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fredrik Arenstedt in the 17th minute. When Sivert Asklund fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tived's protests and gave Sivert Asklund a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Tived's Sivert Asklund got a free kick in the 17th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robert McNamara during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th minute, Robert McNamara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gösta Dahlquist charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gösta Dahlquist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to St. Mellansjö FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Gösta Dahlquist hit a great ball. St. Mellansjö FC's Peter Sikström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Bagge in the 26th minute of play. Börje Bagge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peter Björklund hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, St. Mellansjö FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evrosi Stoyov came free, but Peter Sikström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Tived were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Börje Bagge was the one to do the kick off. When Carl Koch fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tived's protests and gave Carl Koch a yellow card for diving instead. 58 minutes into the match, Tived's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Arenstedt came free, but Per-Erik Wahlnäs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute Evrosi Stoyov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Sikström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game was made by Leo Wennerqvist with Kenneth Ersman as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Leo Wennerqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Per-Erik Wahlnäs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Arne Apelqvist in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evrosi Stoyov in the 85th minute of play forced St. Mellansjö FC's goalkeeper Peter Sikström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Arne Apelqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Per-Erik Wahlnäs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th match minute, St. Mellansjö FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Arne Apelqvist to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Tived's Börje Bagge got a free kick in the 91st minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tived walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
