In the 17th minute Harry Stenman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Björkkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Samuelsson in the 21st minute of play forced Tänndalen BF's goalkeeper Richard Åkerman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After a defensive mix-up in Tänndalen BF's zone, Ingmar Hamnberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Åkerman came out of the goal and Ingmar Hamnberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ingmar Hamnberg kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Harry Stenman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Björkkvist having to interfere. Österbybruk's Ingmar Hamnberg got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th match minute, Österbybruk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jakob Tidéksson to maneuver through the defense.
