The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Stockholm Snakes's Robert Skålberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jan Aleberg. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Johan Sjöberg scored 2-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Aleberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Helsingborgs IF booed when Stockholm Snakes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johan Sjöberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Johan Sjöberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stockholm Snakes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johan Sjöberg got free with Jan Aleberg in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Stockholm Snakes fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Stockholm Snakes's Johan Sjöberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robert Skålberg in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan Aleberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Helsingborgs IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anders Zander was slow to take the kick. During this time Stockholm Snakes's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Leo Rydelius heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 34 minutes into the match, Johan Sjöberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Aleberg. Helsingborgs IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Johan Sjöberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Brian Utter kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 40 minutes of play, Stockholm Snakes's Johan Sjöberg made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan Aleberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Helsingborgs IF's zone, Robert Skålberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Aleberg came out of the goal and Robert Skålberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47thth minute of the game Johan Sjöberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Helsingborgs IF's Jan Aleberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rune Isaksson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Rydelius in the 55th minute of play forced Helsingborgs IF's goalkeeper Jan Aleberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56th play minutes Johan Sjöberg shot 7-0, a short shot which went by Jan Aleberg and just under the crossbar into goal. Hans Sundén kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After 63rd play minutes Johan Sjöberg shot 9-0, a short shot which went by Jan Aleberg and just under the crossbar into goal. 65 minutes into the game, Jörgen Lindberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stockholm Snakes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Helsingborgs IF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Stockholm Snakes's Jörgen Lindberg got a free kick in the 66th minute. Jan Aleberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Skålberg in the 68th minute of the match. Jan Aleberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robert Skålberg went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Johan Sjöberg in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Aleberg saved Helsingborgs IF from getting behind. 75 minutes into the match, Robert Skålberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Aleberg. Helsingborgs IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robert Skålberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-0. A collision led to Helsingborgs IF getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Ulf Palmquist hit a great ball. The supporters of Stockholm Snakes booed when Helsingborgs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Palmquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Johan Sjöberg notched a goal, 12-0, to the right of Helsingborgs IF's Jan Aleberg. Jan Aleberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stockholm Snakes's Wiktor Westerstrand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rune Isaksson in the 86th minute of play. After some careless play in the Helsingborgs IF defense, Robert Skålberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Aleberg. The Helsingborgs IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Aleberg should have stopped the shot. In the 96th minute Leo Rydelius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Aleberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Stockholm Snakes had played much better football throughout.
