In the 5thth minute of the game Carlos Guimarães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Angelos Talanger's Hubert Termander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlos Guimarães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hubert Termander having to make a save. Karl Lundblad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Hjortberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. The audience was convinced that John Hjortberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl Lundblad was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Carlos Guimarães took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hubert Termander. Hubert Termander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1.

The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
