He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Burträsk IF reached it. 17 minutes into the game, one of Himmelsblå:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Petter Tolsson shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Johannes Åkerström's late challenge caught a Himmelsblå's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johannes Åkerström helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 minutes, Magne Dalkvist made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Burträsk IF's Ulf Anundsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Åke Fredriksson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joachim Nyman was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Roland Enström kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The Himmelsblå fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Himmelsblå's Magne Dalkvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 47th minute Åke Fredriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joachim Nyman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Åke Fredriksson was the one to do the kick off. Ulf Anundsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Magne Dalkvist's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Ulf Anundsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magne Dalkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunnar Mattsson in the 73rd minute of play forced Himmelsblå's goalkeeper Joachim Nyman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Himmelsblå's Magne Dalkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Gunnar Mattsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joachim Nyman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gunnar Mattsson went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Himmelsblå's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
