Spectators: 7511 (Terracing: 5634, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) Norsjö's Carlos Guimarães started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, FK Crvena zvezda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Alefors to maneuver through the defense. Jon Sigfridsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Guimarães in the 7th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Carlos Guimarães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The supporters of FK Crvena zvezda booed when Norsjö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kenny Tillman in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jon Sigfridsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Norsjö's Karl Lundblad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Ekegren in the 16th minute of play. After 18 minutes of play Norsjö's Carlos Guimarães was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 18 played minutes Norsjö got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Guimarães. Sten Ekegren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Karl Lundblad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kenny Tillman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kjell-Arne Nordin to make the kick off. FK Crvena zvezda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sten Ekegren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kjell-Arne Nordin struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Karl Lundblad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Crvena zvezda. Joacim Bergstedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, FK Crvena zvezda's Kjell-Arne Nordin got a free kick in the 75th minute. Sten Ekegren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Joacim Bergstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot. FK Crvena zvezda's supporters rose to their feet, but Joacim Bergstedt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl Lundblad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Calle Rudkvist was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. A collision led to FK Crvena zvezda getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Calle Rudkvist hit a great ball. After 84 played minutes Norsjö got a freekick which was hit by Anders Hökkvist. A collision led to Norsjö getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Alfons Söderström hit a great ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Norsjö had played much better football throughout.
