The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonatan Eklund got free with Per Sundén in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredrik Tidén in the 9th minute of play forced Söderkroken IF's goalkeeper Per Sundén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Göran Bergvall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conny Adelsköld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 18 minutes, Fredrik Tidén managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ostby FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredrik Tidén was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Per Sundén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olov Ekström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute Michael Söderström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conny Adelsköld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ostby FC's Fredrik Tidén got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 25 minutes, Jonatan Eklund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Conny Adelsköld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Söderström in the 41st minute of play. After 44 played minutes Söderkroken IF got a freekick which was hit by Michael Söderström. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Ostby FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Michael Söderström 63 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Söderkroken IF's goalkeeper Per Sundén, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Söderkroken IF's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Eklund came free, but Per Sundén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ostby FC booed when Söderkroken IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Haglund didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Jonatan Eklund put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Per Sundén. When the referee ended the match the Ostby FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
