Yngve Markusson charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yngve Markusson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Yngve Markusson kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Ostby FC's goalkeeper Conny Adelsköld had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michel Olsman. Ostby FC's Conny Adelsköld proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Ostby FC from getting a goal against them. If Isaac Österberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Michel Olsman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Isaac Österberg got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 19 minutes into the match, IFK Trelleborg's goal looked a bit too open when Olov Ekström came free, but Ted Gunnarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torsten Thedin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Conny Adelsköld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaac Österberg struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Conny Adelsköld didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IFK Trelleborg. Conny Adelsköld made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Torsten Thedin sent off a good shot on target. After 30 played minutes Ostby FC got a freekick which was hit by Ted Stålberg. If Torsten Thedin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fredrik Tidén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 minutes of play, Ostby FC's Jonatan Eklund made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ted Gunnarsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Bäckman in the 41st minute of play forced IFK Trelleborg's goalkeeper Ted Gunnarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harald Mikaelsson hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. IFK Trelleborg's Ted Gunnarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Eklund in the 43rd minute of play. Torsten Thedin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conny Adelsköld having to interfere.

In the 53rd minute IFK Trelleborg were awarded a corner. Michel Olsman went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 57th minute Torsten Thedin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conny Adelsköld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Michel Olsman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The IFK Trelleborg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonatan Eklund got free with Ted Gunnarsson in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ted Gunnarsson was a little too slow when Olov Ekström got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 2-2. Conny Adelsköld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Österberg in the 72nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Olov Ekström took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Ted Gunnarsson to make any attempt to save it. IFK Trelleborg's Isaac Österberg got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Yngve Markusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. IFK Trelleborg's Ted Gunnarsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save IFK Trelleborg from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, IFK Trelleborg's Ted Gunnarsson got control of the ball when Jonatan Eklund tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ostby FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
