Ulf Lundgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Tobias Örnberg notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Hammarby SK's Ulf Lundgren. Ulf Lundgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 20 played minutes Hammarby SK got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Häll. 21 minutes into the match, Hammarby SK's goalkeeper Ulf Lundgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tobias Örnberg. After 22 played minutes Etrade Hudik got a freekick which was hit by Elias Bruhn. 26 minutes into the match, Tobias Örnberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ulf Lundgren, 2-0. Hammarby SK's Herman Sundberg suffered a sprained foot after 28 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Lennart Alebeck fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Etrade Hudik's protests and gave Lennart Alebeck a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hammarby SK booed when Etrade Hudik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennart Alebeck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tobias Örnberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulf Lundgren having to interfere. Nils Askestät received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ulf Lundgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulf Lundgren was a little too slow when Tobias Örnberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 3-0. Alvin Löfkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tobias Örnberg got free with Ulf Lundgren in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tobias Örnberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hammarby SK's Ulf Lundgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Örnberg in the 51st minute of play. Ulf Lundgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Örnberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 56 minutes into the match, Alf Rosen notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Hammarby SK's Ulf Lundgren. Ulf Lundgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Örnberg in the 63rd minute of play. After 64 minutes, Alvin Löfkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Etrade Hudik and the Hammarby SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 65 played minutes Etrade Hudik got a freekick which was hit by Alvin Löfkvist. After a rather tough play, Etrade Hudik's Elias Bruhn got a free kick in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Örnberg in the 70th minute of play forced Hammarby SK's goalkeeper Ulf Lundgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Alvin Löfkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulf Lundgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Örnberg in the 74th minute of play forced Hammarby SK's goalkeeper Ulf Lundgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonard Häll during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 76 played minutes Hammarby SK got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Häll. Ulf Lundgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvin Löfkvist in the 77th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Alvin Löfkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Etrade Hudik fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. 82 minutes into the match, Hammarby SK's goal looked a bit too open when Alvin Löfkvist came free, but Ulf Lundgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulf Lundgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Örnberg in the 84th minute of play. With 86 minutes on the clock, Karl-Erik Mattsson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card.
