After 15 played minutes Hammarby SK got a freekick which was hit by Per-Arne Josefsson. In the 16th minute, Stig-Åke Vallmark ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulf Lundgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Hammarby SK's Joakim Majman got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Joseph Eklund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ola Bengtsson charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ola Bengtsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, Kosova REP. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ola Bengtsson to maneuver through the defense. Ulf Lundgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joseph Eklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Per Håkansson fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hammarby SK's protests and gave Per Håkansson a yellow card for diving instead. Ola Bengtsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Joseph Eklund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kosova REP.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Joseph Eklund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulf Lundgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrick Bergdal to strike the kick off in the second half. Kosova REP.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
