After 26 played minutes Wilhelm Söder rounded Rävlanda IFK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustaf Finnman in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sigvard Tönnberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute, Örebro IF's Joakim Ekenberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Joakim Ekenberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Örebro IF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Joakim Ekenberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Örebro IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rävlanda IFK:s goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Jörgen Axelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rävlanda IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jörgen Axelsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sigvard Tönnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörgen Axelsson in the 41st minute of play. If Jörgen Axelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jörgen Axelsson struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Sigvard Tönnberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rävlanda IFK. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Robin Kjellman made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Örebro IF getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Henning Holmstedt hit a great ball. Sigvard Tönnberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jörgen Axelsson in the 59th minute. Örebro IF's Sigvard Tönnberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Örebro IF from getting a goal against them. If Robin Kjellman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jörgen Axelsson took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sigvard Tönnberg. Sigvard Tönnberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Rävlanda IFK's Gustaf Finnman got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jörgen Axelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustaf Finnman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Sigvard Tönnberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 84 played minutes Örebro IF got a freekick which was hit by Henning Holmstedt. If Jörgen Axelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 97 minutes of play, Rävlanda IFK's Jörgen Axelsson made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sigvard Tönnberg was left in no man's land by his defense there!
