Kent Westerstrand didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvard Hedkvist in the 8th minute of play forced Brokhult IF's goalkeeper Fred Vallman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hubert Bergqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thor Säf in the 9th minute. Kjell-Arne Lund took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hubert Bergqvist. Hubert Bergqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The audience was convinced that Tor Glad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fred Vallman was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Fred Vallman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edvard Hedkvist in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Tor Glad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Vallman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Skövde's Edvard Hedkvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fred Vallman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After having played for 27 minutes, Kjell-Arne Lund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brokhult IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjell-Arne Lund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fred Vallman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven Odeen, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Magnus Beck hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Skövde's Hubert Bergqvist got control of the ball when Kurt Berg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fred Vallman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tor Glad in the 45th minute of play. Thor Säf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Hubert Bergqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute, Tor Glad made a precise shot to the right of Fred Vallman. Brokhult IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Brokhult IF's Kjell-Arne Lund got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 56 played minutes Skövde got a freekick which was hit by Magnus Beck. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvard Hedkvist in the 60th minute of play forced Brokhult IF's goalkeeper Fred Vallman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hubert Bergqvist came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Brokhult IF's Kurt Berg. But to his dismay, Kurt Berg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. When Brokhult IF's Kurt Berg in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Skövde's goalie prevented a goal. Kurt Berg scored 4-2 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hubert Bergqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Skövde's Tor Glad got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Brokhult IF's goalkeeper Fred Vallman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edvard Hedkvist. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell-Arne Lund in the 82nd minute of play forced Skövde's goalkeeper Hubert Bergqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kjell-Arne Lund in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hubert Bergqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 84 minutes, Thor Säf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brokhult IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thor Säf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Kjell-Arne Lund notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Skövde's Hubert Bergqvist. Hubert Bergqvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 90th minute Tor Glad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Vallman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, one of Brokhult IF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
