Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5626, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tor Glad started the match with the kick off. Bo-Erik Igelström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Bergqvist having to interfere. Edvard Hedkvists short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Andréas Lindberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Örbypojkarna IF getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Alvar Nordström hit a great ball. Andréas Lindberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edvard Hedkvist in the 15th minute. Tor Glad struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Andréas Lindberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skövde. Björn Skark kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Skövde's Sven Odeen got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. André Beckeman hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Hubert Bergqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvar Nordström in the 33rd minute of play. Sven Odeen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andréas Lindberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tor Glad, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Skövde's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Hegg came free, but Hubert Bergqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Roland Abrahamsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andréas Lindberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edvard Hedkvist in the 42nd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After 52 played minutes Skövde got a freekick which was hit by Roland Abrahamsson. Hubert Bergqvist made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Alvar Nordström sent off a good shot on target. Harald Clementsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Hubert Bergqvist made a huge save. With a little luck, Skövde's Hubert Bergqvist got control of the ball when Sebastian Hegg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sebastian Hegg took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hubert Bergqvist. Hubert Bergqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 69 minutes into the match, Skövde's goal looked a bit too open when Bo-Erik Igelström came free, but Hubert Bergqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hubert Bergqvist was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Harald Clementsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Harald Clementsson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. A collision led to Skövde getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Herbert Martinsson hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Alvar Nordström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hubert Bergqvist. That made the score 1-4 in the 80 minute of play. If Tor Glad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hubert Bergqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Hegg in the 87th minute. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Harald Clementsson took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Hubert Bergqvist to make any attempt to save it. The Örbypojkarna IF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Örbypojkarna IF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
