An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Åström in the 6th minute of play forced Norrlands Guld's goalkeeper Karl-Ove Wiklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Åström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Michael Åström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Karl-Ove Wiklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl-Ove Wiklund came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Äng's Mathias Kullander. But to his dismay, Mathias Kullander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Mathias Kullander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathias Kullander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Karl-Ove Wiklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael Åström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl-Ove Wiklund having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Rune Stenström made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Äng booed when Norrlands Guld was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo Nordlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Äng's Jan Björklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rune Stenström in the 66th minute of play. Mathias Kullander struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Karl-Ove Wiklund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Äng. Karl-Ove Wiklund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michael Åström in the 74th minute. Karl-Ove Wiklund made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Michael Åström sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Norrlands Guld's Karl-Ove Wiklund got control of the ball when Michael Åström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Michael Åström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Karl-Ove Wiklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonard Ekström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl-Ove Wiklund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Roger Olsman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Björklund having to interfere. Äng played a much better game than Norrlands Guld and deserved their victory. The Norrlands Guld players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
