The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ingmar Aleberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Bern, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Manuel Jacob came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the FC Gräsplan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Jacob couldn't finish the play. Anton Lundqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fermin Elia in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Daniel Spetz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Gräsplan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gotham City the free kick. The supporters of Gotham City booed when FC Gräsplan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Spetz didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Fermin Elia sped through FC Gräsplan's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anton Lundqvist. 37 minutes into the match, Fermin Elia notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC Gräsplan's Anton Lundqvist. Anton Lundqvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 40 minutes into the game, one of FC Gräsplan:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 47th match minute, Gotham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt Carlberg to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Fermin Elia hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Gotham City's Alfons Larsfelt got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute, Leonard Bern hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tage Alefors in the 64th minute of play forced FC Gräsplan's goalkeeper Anton Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Gotham City fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Gotham City's Vicente Pelayo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, FC Gräsplan's Anton Lundqvist got control of the ball when Vicente Pelayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jesper Brodin in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ingmar Aleberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ingmar Aleberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Jacob in the 89th minute of play. Manuel Jacob recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute, Manuel Jacob left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Gräsplan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4.
