With his leg Jan Björklund managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Gotham City's Vicente Pelayo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ingmar Aleberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Kullander, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Mathias Kullander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ingmar Aleberg. Gotham City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathias Kullander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mathias Kullander made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonard Ekström during the 55th minute. Fermin Elia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Björklund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Jan Björklund came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Gotham City's Vicente Pelayo. But to his dismay, Vicente Pelayo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Äng eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
