Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mathias Kullander took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jan Björklund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Håkan Springfält's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Äng's Jan Björklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Åström in the 6th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Äng's goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Springfält came free, but Jan Björklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Äng's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Åström came free, but Jan Björklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Håkan Springfält cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ludvig Strand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias Kullander in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute Mathias Kullander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludvig Strand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Katrineholm IF's Sonny Ambjörnsson got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 35th minute, Dan Åström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Björklund was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dan Åström to strike the kick off in the second half. If Mathias Kullander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Äng's Kenny Hök got a free kick in the 56th minute. After having played for 57 minutes, Håkan Springfält managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Katrineholm IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Håkan Springfält was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dan Åström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ludvig Strand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Kullander in the 64th minute of play. Katrineholm IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Äng the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of Katrineholm IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Äng:s goal. In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Äng. Andréas Glanselius stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ludvig Strand. 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Mathias Kullander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Äng's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias Kullander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ludvig Strand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kenny Hök's late challenge caught a Katrineholm IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenny Hök helped the player get up and apologised. If Mathias Kullander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathias Kullander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ludvig Strand came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Äng's Leonard Ekström. But to his dismay, Leonard Ekström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Äng's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
