Birger Ahlgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Lindblom didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elliot Vallgren went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 19 played minutes Änglarna FF got a freekick which was hit by Leif Rudqvist. Jörn Lindberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Änglarna FF booed when Överlida IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elliot Vallgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Erik Åström during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Karl-Erik Åström hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Jens-Ola Askstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Edgar Lindblom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elliot Vallgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Jörn Lindberg charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jörn Lindberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jörn Lindberg kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Edgar Lindblom came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Överlida IFK's Bernt Albom. But to his dismay, Bernt Albom quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Edgar Lindblom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Erik Åström, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The Änglarna FF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Överlida IFK were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Bertil Näfver made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Överlida IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Erik Åström to maneuver through the defense. Änglarna FF's Edgar Lindblom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Änglarna FF from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl-Erik Åström in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgar Lindblom saved Änglarna FF from getting behind. In the 65th minute, Leif Rudqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Överlida IFK's Malte Granberg tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 68th match minute, Änglarna FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Morgan Vallengren to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Karl-Erik Åström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgar Lindblom was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Jörn Lindberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Överlida IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Jörn Lindberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Lindblom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute of the match, Elliot Vallgren got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edgar Lindblom was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jörn Lindberg hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Birger Ahlgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertil Näfver in the 78th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Leif Rudqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Malte Granberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edgar Lindblom. Änglarna FF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Överlida IFK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
