In the 12thth minute of the game Frans Holmberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Västergårds Fotbollsklubb's Kalle Bengtsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ljungby's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Felix Pihlblad scored to the left of an out of position Jakob Eckegren, making the score, 2-0. Joseph Stensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jakob Eckegren having to interfere. Ragnar Gregersson kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. If Felix Pihlblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Jens-Åke Vestberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Västergårds Fotbollsklubb fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 41 minutes into the match, Västergårds Fotbollsklubb's goal looked a bit too open when Thor Vacker came free, but Kalle Bengtsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Lindman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Jakob Eckegren skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Thor Vacker made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Felix Pihlblad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Västergårds Fotbollsklubb's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Pihlblad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers George Lindman in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jakob Eckegren saved Ljungby from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thor Vacker in the 57th minute of play forced Västergårds Fotbollsklubb's goalkeeper Kalle Bengtsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ljungby's zone, George Lindman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jakob Eckegren came out of the goal and George Lindman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jakob Eckegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Åke Vestberg in the 62nd minute of play. Karl-Magnus Wästerberg's late challenge caught a Ljungby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl-Magnus Wästerberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th match minute, Västergårds Fotbollsklubb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Magnus Wästerberg to maneuver through the defense. Jesper Bryngelsson hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Jakob Eckegren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Åke Vestberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ljungby getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Jesper Bryngelsson hit a great ball. Jakob Eckegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Lindman, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Ljungby's goal looked a bit too open when George Lindman came free, but Jakob Eckegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Lindman in the 78th minute of play forced Ljungby's goalkeeper Jakob Eckegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Lindman might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jakob Eckegren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. George Lindman ran back to his position shaking his head. Felix Pihlblad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jakob Eckegren having to make a save. The Västergårds Fotbollsklubb fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Västergårds Fotbollsklubb's George Lindman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Västergårds Fotbollsklubb's George Lindman got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Thor Vacker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ljungby's supporters rose to their feet, but Thor Vacker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kalle Bengtsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
