After 18 minutes, Göran Tillman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bedragarnas IF and the AIK Solna players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roger Tidén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Carlberg having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Bedragarnas IF's Karl-Erik Åhlberg threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nicklas Bolander, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jonathan Carlberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roger Tidén's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. After 37 minutes, Malcolm Pihlgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AIK Solna and the Bedragarnas IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Magnus Lindblom charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Magnus Lindblom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of AIK Solna booed when Bedragarnas IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magnus Lindblom didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and André Berglund made a kick off. When the match had been going on for 57 minutes, AIK Solna's Karl-Michael Hård got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jonathan Carlberg. In the 61st minute of the match Christer Hermansson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Karl-Erik Åhlberg skillfully saved the ball. Bedragarnas IF's Nicklas Bolander got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Malcolm Pihlgren hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. A collision led to AIK Solna getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Michael Falkrantz hit a great ball. If Nicklas Bolander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl-Erik Åhlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Tillman in the 91st minute of play. The AIK Solna players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
