The tension between the Fagersta AIK and the Grusvägen AB players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Marko Hermansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fagersta AIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Marko Hermansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arne Hultstrand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Grusvägen AB's Arne Hultstrand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marko Hermansson in the 13th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Åke Blomberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Arne Hultstrand however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Fagersta AIK's zone, Josef Hökkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Oskar Sjögren came out of the goal and Josef Hökkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Grusvägen AB's Gösta Berg in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fagersta AIK's goalie prevented a goal. After 26 played minutes Grusvägen AB got a freekick which was hit by Josef Hökkvist. Fagersta AIK's Marko Hermansson got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Arne Hultstrand successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gösta Berg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Karl-Oskar Sjögren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

A hard shot 54 in the game by Gösta Berg from a close distance when the talented Karl-Oskar Sjögren managed to make a qualified save. Fagersta AIK's players were relieved. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grusvägen AB's goalkeeper Arne Hultstrand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roy Kaxe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Åke Blomberg in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arne Hultstrand saved Grusvägen AB from getting behind. Karl-Oskar Sjögren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gösta Berg's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. In the 74th match minute, Fagersta AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicklas Odeen to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Gösta Berg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl-Oskar Sjögren was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. 83 minutes into the game, Göran Gadd cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1.
