The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bengt Håning made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Jonsson in the 4th minute of play. Kjell Odin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hubert Hansson in the 5th minute of the match. 7 minutes in the game, Hubert Hansson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Kjell Odin having to interfere. Kjell Odin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hubert Hansson in the 9th minute of play. When Kurt Hök fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ödåkra FK's protests and gave Kurt Hök a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Ödåkra FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Hök to maneuver through the defense. Bengt Håning took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Jonsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Ucklum IF fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Ucklum IF's Alfons Lindgren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hubert Hansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Kjell Odin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ucklum IF's Kjell Odin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Ucklum IF from getting a goal against them. In the 39th minute Dennis Jonsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt Håning saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dennis Jonsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ucklum IF's Sivert Wennerqvist got a free kick in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dennis Jonsson made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Dennis Jonsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bengt Håning was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. The supporters of Ucklum IF booed when Ödåkra FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudolf Dahlbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Ödåkra FK's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Jonsson came free, but Bengt Håning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Hubert Hansson made a precise shot to the right of Kjell Odin. Ucklum IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Alfons Lindgren's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bengt Håning firmly grabbed it by the left post. Bengt Håning showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Jonsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 76th minute Matthias Alströmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell Odin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ödåkra FK's Bengt Håning proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Ödåkra FK from getting a goal against them. After 81 played minutes Ödåkra FK got a freekick which was hit by Åke Petersson. Ödåkra FK's Bengt Håning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Jonsson in the 84th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Dennis Jonsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Ödåkra FK's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Jonsson came free, but Bengt Håning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Ucklum IF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ucklum IF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
