Spectators: 7497 (Terracing: 5662, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 100) Pålsboda's Henry Lindberg started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Henning Åkesson made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Vilgot Billström sent off a good shot on target. When Ove Tillman fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pålsboda's protests and gave Ove Tillman a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 minutes of play, Pålsboda's Henry Lindberg made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matthias Fastesson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Henry Lindberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrik Wennerlund hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Matthias Fastesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalle Lenberg in the 28th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Henry Lindberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthias Fastesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henry Lindberg's late challenge caught a ShobbaZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henry Lindberg helped the player get up and apologised. Henry Lindberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matthias Fastesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Lindberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Matthias Fastesson came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Pålsboda's Johan Bohlin. But to his dismay, Johan Bohlin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After the first half Pålsboda were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kenny Ekström to strike the kick off in the second half. Matthias Fastesson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Odeen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 62 played minutes Pålsboda got a freekick which was hit by Peder Nordström. The supporters of ShobbaZ booed when Pålsboda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peder Nordström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, ShobbaZ's Vilgot Billström got a free kick in the 65th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pålsboda's zone, Kenny Ekström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henning Åkesson came out of the goal and Kenny Ekström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Pålsboda's Peder Nordström got a free kick in the 77th minute. Henning Åkesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenny Ekström in the 79th minute of play. Matthias Fastesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Odeen, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Matthias Fastesson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Henry Lindberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 83 minute of play. In the 87th minute Henry Lindberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthias Fastesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Kenny Ekström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henning Åkesson was relentless in the 89th minute of the game.
