A collision led to AIK getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Eric Nordmark hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Ingmar Målare came free, but Sven-Ove Vik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th match minute, AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Larsson to maneuver through the defense. AIK's Sven-Ove Vik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save AIK from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingmar Målare in the 15th minute of play forced AIK's goalkeeper Sven-Ove Vik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ingmar Målares short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Sven-Ove Vik to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Hedbom in the 17th minute of play forced AIK's goalkeeper Sven-Ove Vik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Malmö Torpedos's Ingmar Målare got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the game, Ejner Lyhøj cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Alfred Brandin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, AIK's Sven-Ove Vik got control of the ball when Ingmar Målare tried to sneak it across the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Ejner Lyhøj notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Malmö Torpedos's Alfred Brandin. Alfred Brandin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 31 played minutes AIK got a freekick which was hit by Felix Wiberg. Sven-Ove Vik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingmar Målare in the 33rd minute of the match. Alfred Brandin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig Siggesson in the 40th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Johannes Hedbom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Stig Siggesson managed to get in a good position for a shot. AIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig Siggesson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfred Brandin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anders Andreasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 56th minute, Jim Billing got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 60th play minutes Ingmar Målare shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Sven-Ove Vik and just under the crossbar into goal. 70 minutes into the game, Ingmar Målare cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Sven-Ove Vik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Marc Larsson fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AIK's protests and gave Marc Larsson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Malmö Torpedos booed when AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Larsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jörgen Dalman kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Elias Bäcklin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Brandin having to interfere. Stig Siggesson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfred Brandin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. When Ejner Lyhøj came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ejner Lyhøj couldn't finish the play. The supporters of AIK booed when Malmö Torpedos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörgen Dalman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven-Ove Vik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingmar Målare in the 92nd minute of play. After 95 minutes of play, AIK's Ejner Lyhøj made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfred Brandin was left in no man's land by his defense there! The AIK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AIK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
