The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erik Pilblad made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Bengt Haegg sent off a good shot on target. 7 minutes into the match, Bo Persson SK's goalkeeper Erik Pilblad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt Haegg. Bengt Haegg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Erik Pilblad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Alexander Persson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mattias Tingelholm was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 16th minute Alvar Abrahamsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Tingelholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 played minutes Bo Persson SK got a freekick which was hit by Fred Möller. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bo Persson SK's goalkeeper Erik Pilblad, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hannes Qvalfeldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Syrianska FC booed when Bo Persson SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Axel Björkqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erik Pilblad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hannes Qvalfeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bo Persson SK's Alexander Persson got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvar Abrahamsson in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mattias Tingelholm prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Bo Persson SK getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Alvar Abrahamsson hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Bo Persson SK's Alexander Persson got a free kick in the 33rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jack Beck in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mattias Tingelholm saved Syrianska FC from getting behind. Mattias Tingelholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Beck in the 43rd minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jack Beck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Bo Persson SK's Jack Beck got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Bo Persson SK's Erik Pilblad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hannes Qvalfeldt in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Jack Beck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute Bengt Haegg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Pilblad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bo Persson SK's Erik Pilblad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Björnsson in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hannes Qvalfeldt in the 69th minute of play forced Bo Persson SK's goalkeeper Erik Pilblad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute of the match Daniel Eliasson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erik Pilblad skillfully saved the ball. If Alvar Abrahamsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Pilblad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hannes Qvalfeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mattias Tingelholm stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jack Beck's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Syrianska FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bo Persson SK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
