Östra Karup RK's Patric Dalberg got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonny Olsson was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Alvin Blixt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alvin Blixt really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robert Beneth made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Robert Beneth notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Östra Karup RK's Jonny Olsson. Jonny Olsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Calle Karlberg came out of the goal and Patric Dalberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin Winström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calle Karlberg having to interfere. 81 minutes into the game, Järnkaminer IF's Eric Lindell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonny Olsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Aleksander Björklund got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 86th minute, Mikael Söderlund fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Mikael Söderlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calle Karlberg having to interfere. If Martin Winström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Many of Östra Karup RK's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Östra Karup RK may have spent more time on the ball, but Järnkaminer IF were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
