Åhus IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blunts United the free kick. In the 9th match minute, Åhus IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Ove Berglund to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 11 minutes, Magnus Abrahamsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blunts United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magnus Abrahamsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cazimir Stoica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magnus Abrahamsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Blunts United's Michael Wenerdahl collided with an opponent after 15 minutes. The hit was so violent that he fractured his leg. Blunts United made a substitution. Cazimir Stoica didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Basualdo went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Bror Utter fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blunts United's protests and gave Bror Utter a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Åhus IF booed when Blunts United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bror Utter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Basualdo in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cazimir Stoica prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 27 played minutes Åhus IF got a freekick which was hit by Gustav Östensson. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Basualdo in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cazimir Stoica saved Åhus IF from getting behind. In the 32nd minute Magnus Abrahamsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cazimir Stoica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Patrick Lundhberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Erik Malmgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 43 minutes into the match, Blunts United's goalkeeper Erik Malmgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrick Lundhberg. The Åhus IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Blunts United were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Basualdo to strike the kick off in the second half. Fred Wall charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Udalaitz Arizmendi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 77 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the game, one of Åhus IF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 80 minutes into the match, Åhus IF's goal looked a bit too open when Magnus Abrahamsson came free, but Cazimir Stoica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cazimir Stoica made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Magnus Abrahamsson sent off a good shot on target. Patrick Lundhberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 minutes, Torbjörn Hansson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blunts United and the Åhus IF players grew even worse after the yellow card.
