Magnus Sundström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erling Hedling in the 27th minute of the match. Dick Eliasson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Magnus Sundström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. August Lindmark's late challenge caught a Smallville FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Dick Eliasson managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 40th minute, Erland Falkrans made a precise shot to the right of Tobias Hedlund. Smallville FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 48 minutes into the match, Hörby's goal looked a bit too open when Dick Eliasson came free, but Magnus Sundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torgny Henriksson to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Norberto Urko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Smallville FC and the Hörby players grew even worse after the yellow card. Smallville FC:s Tobias Hedlund showed great skill when he stopped Viggo Tinglöf:s penalty. With his leg Magnus Sundström managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Smallville FC's Dick Eliasson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. August Lindmark got his second yellow card in the match during the 92nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Erling Hedling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
