The supporters of FC Snake booed when Djurgården was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gert Nyman didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Gösta Fågel managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when FC Snake's Per-Olof Sandström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 16th match minute, Djurgården was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frans Berggren to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Djurgården getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Jan-Ove Jonasson hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Djurgården's goalkeeper Gösta Fågel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per-Olof Sandström. In the 25th minute FC Snake were awarded a corner. Harry Martinsson went to the cornerflag to take it. After 25 played minutes FC Snake got a freekick which was hit by Mats Hagberg. In the 25th minute, Mats Hagberg got a good opportunity for a shot when FC Snake was rewarded a free kick. Mats Hagberg was unable to take advantage of the situation as his shot went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Djurgården's Jan-Ove Jonasson got a free kick in the 27th minute. After 32 played minutes FC Snake got a freekick which was hit by Per-Olof Sandström. A collision led to Djurgården getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Jan-Ove Jonasson hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the game, Per-Olof Sandström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Gösta Fågel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Per-Olof Sandström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gösta Fågel. That made the score 2-0 in the 38 minute of play. Gösta Fågel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Per-Olof Sandström's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Per-Olof Sandström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gösta Fågel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gösta Fågel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Olof Sandström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gert Nyman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gösta Fågel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Olof Sandström in the 61st minute of the match. Frans Berggren kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Per-Olof Sandström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Gösta Fågel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 played minutes Djurgården got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Ove Jonasson. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Per-Olof Sandström in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gösta Fågel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gösta Fågel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Per-Olof Sandström's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. If Olov Backlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Djurgården booed when FC Snake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Olof Rydelius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Djurgården's Gösta Fågel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Olof Sandström in the 87th minute of play. Gert Nyman kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. If Per-Olof Sandström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee ended the match the FC Snake players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
