The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 13 minutes, Maximilian Wennerqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rydöbrukds's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximilian Wennerqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Edmund Hedkvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nils Forsell. Rydöbrukds's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmund Hedkvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 22nd minute, Maximilian Wennerqvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rydöbrukds fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 27 minutes into the game, Edmund Hedkvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Nils Forsell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nils Forsell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bo-Erik Håkansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Manfred Ekberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Vitaliy Krylatov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manfred Ekberg in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitaliy Krylatov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 42 played minutes Rydöbrukds got a freekick which was hit by Paul Hedlund. After having played for 43 minutes, Villiam Hasselqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bruksvallarna BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Villiam Hasselqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manfred Ekberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vitaliy Krylatov having to make a save. Vitaliy Krylatov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximilian Wennerqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manfred Ekberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match Thomas Bergström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vitaliy Krylatov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Manfred Ekberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rydöbrukds's supporters rose to their feet, but Manfred Ekberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitaliy Krylatov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paul Hedlund's late challenge caught a Bruksvallarna BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paul Hedlund helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bruksvallarna BK booed when Rydöbrukds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Hedlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Björn Hult during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th minute, one of Bruksvallarna BK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bruksvallarna BK. In the 67th minute there was a penalty for Rydöbrukds. Manfred Ekberg stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vitaliy Krylatov. 2-3. After 69 played minutes Rydöbrukds got a freekick which was hit by Mikael Petersson. A collision led to Rydöbrukds getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Richard Odman hit a great ball. Rydöbrukds's Nils Forsell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Rydöbrukds from getting a goal against them. In the 74th minute Manfred Ekberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitaliy Krylatov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 played minutes Bruksvallarna BK got a freekick which was hit by Kim Hägg. 86 minutes into the match, Rydöbrukds's goal looked a bit too open when Kim Hägg came free, but Nils Forsell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Maximilian Wennerqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rydöbrukds's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximilian Wennerqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitaliy Krylatov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Bruksvallarna BK's Kasper Larsson got a free kick in the 90th minute. Maximilian Wennerqvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vitaliy Krylatov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximilian Wennerqvist ran back to his position shaking his head.
