The supporters of Bruksvallarna BK booed when Olympique Lund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Täman didn't get a good kick on the ball. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bruksvallarna BK reached it. Olympique Lund's Manfred Skoog proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Olympique Lund from getting a goal against them. Manfred Skoog made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo-Erik Håkansson in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bo-Erik Håkansson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Bo-Erik Håkansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bruksvallarna BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Bo-Erik Håkansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manfred Skoog breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute, Bo-Erik Håkansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olympique Lund's Manfred Skoog played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo-Erik Håkansson in the 94th minute of play. Bo-Erik Håkansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfred Skoog having to interfere. Bruksvallarna BK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
